Experience I have worked as an Engineer/Engineering Manager for more than 30 years. I have served as a director of the A.O. Smith Employees Federal Credit Union, a member of the Tipp City Board of Zoning Appeals and on other boards and commissions within our community. I enjoy solving problems and am excited about serving my neighbors as a Township Trustee.
Education Ohio Northern University - Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering University of Dayton - Master of Science in Engineering Management
We are fortunate to live in Monroe Township where our problems (relative to the responsibilities of the Township Trustees) are minimal. Most important to me is the conservative management of our tax dollars. I admire the work that our current Trustees have done managing our resources. I am grateful for the many years that Ron Thuma has given to our community as a Trustee. The work that he has done along with Phil Cox and Martin English, the two Trustees who will continue to serve, has been exemplary. I would like to continue to work diligently to stay ahead of the small issues that arise so we do not have large problems develop.
The duties of Township Trustees are delegated by the Ohio General Assembly. Among the primary responsibilities of the Board of Trustees is the maintenance of the township roads, cemeteries and parks. My engineering experience will serve me well to perform these functions, I am a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Ohio. I have relationships with many of our county elected officials. Tony Kendell, Miami County Prosecutor and Greg Simmons, Miami County Commissioner have both endorsed my candidacy. My passion for and knowledge of our community makes me the best candidate for this position.
In addition to the work that Township Trustees do in their official capacity, our Trustees serve on many boards and committees in the area. It is through this work that I would be able to help us continue to grow our community at a responsible rate, whether that be working with the Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission, Miami County Council, etc.
I want to continue to foster the spirit of community that is so strong here. I will make myself available to residents and continue to encourage open communication between the community and the Trustees. I want to investigate and employ technology where practical to facilitate the maintenance of our Township, reducing costs and improving services.
Four generations of my family call Monroe Township home. I am committed to serving the citizens of our Township and continuing to make this an excellent community in which to live and raise a family.
