In Bath Township, a biodigester, located on a sitting trustee's property currently in use on agricultural land, is in a zoning violation as it is an industrial activity. This biodigester could threaten the sole source aquifer located underneath it, have health risks to area residents and devalue properties close to the facility. The Bath Township Zoning Resolution needs to be upheld for everyone in the township not just select ones.

The current fire contract with the multiple townships that started in January 2019 needs to be carefully reviewed to ensure the area residents are being protected. Residents need to be assured they are receiving the best coverage for their money.
I have attended the Bath Township meetings for numerous years, watching the current trustees make decisions without thinking of the betterment of the township and spending taxpayer dollars without blinking an eye. All decisions made by the trustees of a township should have the best interests of the township residents and the future of the township. Owning a business, I have had to make the tough decisions based on what's best for the business. This can be applied to township business as well.
Bath Township is mainly an agricultural district. To entice new growth in the area, incentives could be promoted by allowing tax breaks for a limited time.
To make life better for the residents, I would propose to heighten the maintenance on the Township park by making the park a place people would want to take their children and grandchildren. I would also be attentive to residents comments and concerns during meetings, along with following up to ensure their concerns were taken care of. Currently, most comments and concerns made by residents attending the township meetings are overlooked.
I have fought for the residents rights for over 2 years regarding the zoning violation of the biodigester on Herr Road, not even being a trustee. I believe residents have a right to have their voices heard. I believe in upholding the Bath Township Zoning Resolution for all residents of the township not allowing some to be overlooked when concerns have been brought to the trustees. I will fight for the residents life, health and quality of life in the township. I ask you to vote for someone that has been involved in the township for numerous years and one that lives in the township. I ask you to vote for me, Kassie Lester, so I can continue to work for the area residents.
